The Junior Woman’s Club of Sparta is proud to present Safety Village 2008, a comprehensive and fun safety education program for children entering a Sparta kindergarten this fall. Now in its nineteenth year of operation, this award-winning program will be held at the Helen Morgan School (100 Stanhope Road) in Sparta from 9:30am to Noon, June 23-26.
The program is staffed by our enthusiastic club members with special assistance from the Sussex County Red Cross, Sparta Police, Fire, and Ambulance departments and other community volunteers. The children will learn about the many aspects of safety through fun and entertaining presentations, games, and projects. The program covers forest, bike and helmet, pedestrian, traffic, bullying, school bus, fire, police, ambulance, water, health, and telephone safety.
