October is Fire Safety Month?Please take some time this month to check all batteries in your fire detectors and also review your escape plan with your family.

World Food Day:

Friday, October 16, 2009   is World Food Day.   Think globally but act locally.    Please take a few minutes this day to help out our food banks.   There is one here in Sparta at the First Presbyterian Church on Main Street.   If you are able to, please drop off some food to them?.please also remember to send me an email as I will fill out a project postal.

Make A Difference Day

Make a difference day is a national day of helping others; a celebration of neighbors and helping neighbors.   Please remember to bring in new/like new books (pre-K to grade 5) to the October meeting.   These books will be donated to the Academy Street Elementary in Dover.

Oversees Coupon Program

Thank you to everyone has been bringing in their coupons for our adopted base in Hamburg, Germany (US Army Base).   Please continue to save and bring all those coupons that you do not use or any coupons that have expired (within the last two months) to our next meeting.   Coupons need to be clipped.   Your contribution to this worthy cause will help the American Service Families overseas.
