Welcome back, we hope everyone had a fun summer

Sept. 25, 8am to 1pm:   Endorphin 5K Run/Walk

Lisa Mullahy is looking to organize a team of juniors to participate in this event.   The proceeds benefit IES Brain Research Foundation.   Their mission is to support brain research that will lead to effective treatments for serious brain diseases and conditions such as brain cancer, PTSD, epilepsy, autism, schizophrenia, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, brain injury, stroke etc.

Registration fee is $20 and the event takes place at Skylands Park.   For more info. go to www.iesBrainResearch.org.  

October is breast cancer awareness month.   Lisa Mullahy sent a letter to the mayor for permission to allow us to participate in the Tie-a-Ribbon for cure campaign.   Our request will be heard at the 9/14/10 Sparta Council meeting.   If approved we need volunteers to help tie pink ribbons on the trees in downtown Sparta and remove them by the first week in November.   Dates TBA.

Wine Tasting Event

Come join us for an afternoon of wine tasting on Oct. 10.   We will either go to Westfall Winery, in Montague or Ventimiglia Vineyard in Wantage.   Times to follow.
